Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.6.9.1.4 - Read level appropriate content sight words and use them to form sentences and also copy them in their books.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read aloud the weather sight words printed on word cards with accuracy: dry, cold, wet, windy, rainy, cloudy, warm, sunny, sun, water.
  2. Identify each weather sight word when shown a matching picture card and say the word independently.
  3. Form simple oral sentences using at least two weather sight words, such as “The sun is hot” or “It is rainy today.”
  4. Copy five weather sight words correctly into their exercise books with proper letter formation.
  5. Read a short simple sentence containing a weather sight word and copy it neatly in their books.
