Caring for the Parts of My Body

Learning Objectives

Indicator: K1.1.3.1.2 - Watch a short video clip and talk about how to care for the various parts of the body.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Watch a short video clip showing how to care for body parts and name at least three body parts they saw being cared for (e.g., hands, face, teeth).
  2. Talk about what is used to care for each body part shown in the video (e.g., soap for hands, toothbrush for teeth).
  3. Count the cleaning materials seen in the video clip (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, sponge) up to 5.
  4. Classify at least three cleaning materials by their colours (e.g., red sponge, blue toothbrush, white soap).
  5. Use the vocabulary words from the previous lesson (wash, brush, clean, dry) when talking about the video.
