Caring for the Parts of My Body

Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.1.3.1.8 - Use number names to count, find out how many and match body parts with other part with same number (1- 5)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Count body parts from 1 to 5 using number names (one, two, three, four, five) while pointing to each part.
- Identify how many of each body part they have (one mouth, two eyes, two hands, five fingers on one hand).
- Match body parts that come in the same number, such as two eyes with two ears or five fingers with five toes.
- Demonstrate counting and matching by drawing lines or placing counters to connect matching sets of body parts in their workbook.
- Use number names correctly when talking about their own body during songs and games, for example saying “two hands” and “five fingers”.
