Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.1.4.LI.2 - Analyse performing arts business problems, opportunities and formulate recommendations for action to enhance the socio-economic well-being of society.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Apply the SWOT Analysis framework (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to diagnose at least two real performing arts business challenges or opportunities in Ghana.
- Differentiate between business problems and business opportunities in the performing arts sector using specific criteria and examples.
- Formulate at least three actionable recommendations that address identified problems and leverage identified opportunities.
- Present a group analysis showing how an artwork can move through the business cycle from idea to audience, with clear recommendations for socio-economic enhancement.
- Justify recommendations using evidence from the SWOT analysis and financial reasoning appropriate to the performing arts context.
