Indicator: 1.1.1.LI.1 - Explain what biomedical science is and what it is not.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define biomedical science in their own words, using at least two key features of the field.
- Distinguish between biomedical science and related fields such as general medicine, pharmacy, and nursing by giving at least one clear difference for each.
- Identify at least three misconceptions about biomedical science and explain why each one is incorrect.
- Give at least two examples of biomedical science products or services that they have encountered in their daily lives in Ghana.
- Describe, in one or two sentences, what a biomedical scientist does in their workplace.
