Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.4.1.1.1 - Describe the attitudes needed for effective citizenship.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define effective citizenship in their own words and give at least one example of an attitude that supports it.
- Identify at least five attitudes needed for effective citizenship from a list of everyday situations.
- Explain, with a reason, why each of the following attitudes matters in a community: compromise, tolerance, collaboration, dialogue, and teamwork.
- Role play a short scenario showing how one of these attitudes helps people live in harmony in a Ghanaian community.
- Sort behaviours seen in school or the neighbourhood into “helpful for citizenship” and “harmful for citizenship” groups.
