Indicator: B6.4.2.2.1 - Explain and appreciate the importance of democratic governance

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the persons and bodies responsible for governing their school and describe each one’s role.
  2. Explain at least three features of democratic governance in Ghana, such as election of leaders, tolerance, and transparency.
  3. Demonstrate a mock election that follows democratic principles of voting and counting.
  4. Discuss why good governance matters for both school development and national development.
  5. Suggest practical ways individuals, including learners, can promote democratic governance in their daily lives.
