Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.8.1.1 - Answer “Yes” or “No” questions correctly using the expressions that show the future
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the future time markers (tomorrow, next week, next month, this weekend) in questions and statements.
- Answer “Yes” or “No” questions about future actions with complete sentences: “Yes, I will” or “No, I won’t.”
- Ask a partner a “Yes” or “No” question about a future activity using “Will you…?”
- Give a short answer (Yes/No) and a full answer (Yes, I will / No, I won’t) to the same question.
- Use the future expression correctly in response to questions about planned activities at school and at home.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
- Through discussion, let learners identify an activity they will perform at a future time, e.g. tomorrow, next month etc. - Ask questions to elicit "Yes" or "No" answers e.g. Will you come to school tomorrow? Yes/No; Yes, I will/No, I won't. - Introduce drills e.g. Questions and Answers Drill, for learners to practise asking and answering "Yes" or "No" Questions.
