Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.8.1.1 - Use appropriate pronunciation and intonation in asking and answering questions
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the difference between rising intonation for questions and falling intonation for answers when they hear them spoken.
- Ask at least three simple questions (e.g., What is your name? Where do you live?) using rising intonation at the end of each question.
- Answer simple questions using falling intonation and complete, clear sentences.
- Pronounce question words such as what, where, how, and who clearly and correctly in a role-play conversation.
- Participate in a short paired role-play where they ask two questions and give two answers with appropriate intonation.
