Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.1.LI.2 - Mount an exhibition that reflects selected advanced finishing techniques.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and describe at least three advanced finishing techniques (such as patination, lacquering, sandblasting, or high-gloss polish) visible in artefacts selected for exhibition.
  2. Plan an exhibition layout that groups artefacts according to their finishing techniques and communicates a clear theme.
  3. Prepare artefacts and display materials for exhibition, ensuring each piece is clean, stable, and properly labelled.
  4. Mount a mini exhibition in the studio or classroom, arranging works at appropriate heights and distances for viewing.
  5. Respond respectfully to feedback from peers and visitors during the exhibition walkthrough, giving and receiving critique constructively.
