Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.4.13.2.1
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State a clear claim on a given topic and identify at least three reasons to support it, arranged from least to most important.
- Sort reasons into a logical order of importance and explain why the strongest reason should come last.
- Identify credible sources of evidence (such as school textbooks, newspapers, official reports, or experts) and match evidence to the correct reason.
- Write a short paragraph that introduces a claim and supports it with two or three clearly ordered reasons and relevant evidence from credible sources.
- Present and defend their claim and reasons to a group, responding to questions with additional evidence.
