Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.4.3.LI.2 - Describe the importance of industry to the Ghanaian economy.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define industry and distinguish between primary, secondary, and tertiary industries with Ghanaian examples.
- Explain at least four ways industries contribute to the Ghanaian economy, such as employment, income generation, and foreign exchange earnings.
- Describe the linkages between industry and agriculture, building on last week’s lesson on the importance of agriculture.
- Assess the challenges facing Ghanaian industries and propose practical solutions, demonstrating extended critical thinking.
- Work collaboratively in mixed-ability, mixed-gender groups to research, discuss, and present findings on the importance of industry to the Ghanaian economy.
