Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.3.2.3.2 - Perform continuous step-ups.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate the correct technique for performing continuous step-ups on a stable platform.
  2. Perform at least 8 continuous step-ups on each leg without stopping or losing balance.
  3. Count and record the number of step-ups performed by a partner accurately.
  4. Explain how continuous step-ups strengthen the leg muscles and improve the heart and lungs.
  5. Show perseverance by completing the full set of step-ups even when their legs begin to tire.

After warm-ups learners perform continuous step ups using stable platforms like block, bag of sand, etc. to test muscular strength in the legs. Put learners in pairs to count and record as the other performs.
