By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- define an adverb phrase as a word or group of words that modifies a verb, telling how, when or where an action happens.
- identify adverb phrases in given sentences and short texts.
- form their own adverb phrases using words about manner, place and time.
- use adverb phrases correctly in their own oral sentences and short written sentences.
- distinguish between a single adverb and an adverb phrase (two or more words doing the job of an adverb).
