1. Using the round-robin technique, learners explain the concepts: i. population ii. population growth. 2. Learners use the Internet or library to search for information and discuss how the population of Ghana has changed in recent years. 3. In pairs, learners use information from previous population census to create a bar chart on district population changes. 4. Using think-group-share, learners discuss the following factors of population growth: i. fertility ii. mortality iii. migration. 5. In groups, learners analyse the effects of rapid population growth on the community and the nation. 6. Learners role-play the effects of large family size on the family. 7. Using mind maps, learners suggest ways to minimise rapid population growth, including public education.
