Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.3.2.2.1 - Examine ways of preventing and managing conflict in the community.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define conflict prevention and conflict management in their own words, and give at least one example of each.
- Identify and describe at least four attitudes, values and strategies that help prevent conflict in the community.
- Explain the role of women in conflict prevention and management in Ghanaian communities, using at least two local examples.
- Demonstrate skills of negotiation and dialogue by role-playing a conflict resolution scenario with peers.
- Assess which conflict prevention strategies are most effective in different community situations and justify their reasoning.
