Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.2.2.LI.3 - Create 2-Dimensional artwork using multiple methods, including analogue and digital media processes and techniques in response to societal problems.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three societal problems within their community that can be addressed through 2-Dimensional artwork.
  2. Select and justify appropriate combinations of analogue methods (drawing, painting, printmaking, collage) and digital methods (photography, digital editing, scanning) for a chosen community problem.
  3. Produce a finished 2-Dimensional artwork that combines at least two methods (one analogue and one digital) to respond to a selected societal problem.
  4. Present and explain their artwork to the class, describing the problem addressed, the methods combined, and the message communicated.
  5. Reflect on the effectiveness of their artwork as a solution to the identified community problem, suggesting possible improvements.
