Indicator: 3.1.1.LI.3 - Investigate how art laws and policies inform societal development
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain at least three ways in which copyright, patent and trademark laws protect both artists and the Ghanaian public.
- Analyse how the enforcement of intellectual property laws contributes to national economic growth and cultural preservation.
- Investigate a real case where an art-related law or policy has influenced creative production in Ghana and present findings to the class.
- Evaluate the social consequences for Ghanaian communities when art laws are respected as opposed to when they are violated.
- Propose one practical policy recommendation that would strengthen the link between art laws and societal development in Ghana.
