Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.2.2.LI.3 - Create 2-D art or design works with tools and materials with image making and repeat processes and techniques.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Select appropriate tools and materials for a chosen image-making and repetition technique to create a 2-D artwork addressing a community need.
  2. Apply at least one repetition process (e.g. stamping, stencilling, block printing, or collage repetition) to produce a patterned 2-D design with local ideas.
  3. Demonstrate safe and responsible handling of tools and materials during the fabrication process.
  4. Evaluate their finished artwork against criteria such as neatness, consistent repetition, and relevance to the identified community challenge.
  5. Present and explain their finished 2-D artwork to peers, describing the image-making and repetition technique used and the problem it addresses.
