Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.2.1.LI.2 - Plan the execution of the rehearsal and production of the performing arts artistic product [DANCE, MUSIC, DRAMA, or a collaboration] developed that reflects emerging African topical issues using ICT
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Construct a rehearsal and production timeline for their chosen performing arts product, showing at least five key milestones from first rehearsal to final performance.
- Draft a production budget that accounts for costumes, props, sound, venue, publicity, and transport, totalling their estimated costs in GHS.
- Create a detailed rehearsal plan for a 4-week period that allocates specific sessions to script/choreography development, blocking or staging, technical runs, and dress rehearsal.
- Demonstrate effective time management and teamwork by negotiating and assigning production roles (stage manager, publicity officer, costume and props manager, etc.) within their group.
- Use an ICT tool (spreadsheet, Google Calendar, or rehearsal planning app) to present their rehearsal and production plan, including timelines and task assignments.
