Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.1.1.LI.1 - Identify and explain the function(s) of ICTs-software, and other Performing Arts technical production equipment used for performing / presenting / producing and recording the artistic product(s) in DANCE.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least six ICT software programs and technical production equipment used in dance production, naming them correctly.
  2. Explain the specific function of each identified software or equipment item in a dance performance, production, or recording context.
  3. Classify production tools into categories (sound, light, notation, design, and recording) and justify why each tool belongs in its category.
  4. Demonstrate, in groups, the correct setup of a rehearsal or performance space using available dance production equipment and ICT resources.
  5. Assess the effectiveness of different production tools for a given dance scenario and recommend the most suitable option with reasons.
