Indicator: 2.3.2.LI.1 - Discuss the distribution, types and characteristics of manufacturing industries in Ghana

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least five manufacturing towns in Ghana and name the industries located there.
  2. Classify manufacturing industries in Ghana into their major types (food processing, textiles, metals, chemicals, cement, and timber) with examples of each.
  3. Describe the key characteristics of manufacturing industries in Ghana, including scale, ownership, technology, and source of raw materials.
  4. Explain at least three reasons for the concentration of manufacturing industries in particular parts of Ghana.
  5. Label and interpret a map showing the distribution of major manufacturing industries in Ghana.
