Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.1.1.LI.2 - Saluda y despídete de los amigos/las amigas/los compañeros/las compañeras. (Expresión oral - informal/tú) Saluda y despídete de la gente mayor/extranjeros/extranjeras. (Expresión oral - formal/usted)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Greet friends and classmates using informal expressions with tú (e.g., ¿Cómo estás?) and respond appropriately.
Greet elderly people, foreigners, and authority figures using formal expressions with usted (e.g., ¿Cómo está?).
Say goodbye to friends informally and to elders/strangers formally using appropriate farewell expressions.
Choose correctly between tú and usted forms based on the person they are addressing (friend vs. the president of Ghana vs. their headmistress vs. an elderly person).
Role-play a greeting and farewell exchange in both informal and formal registers, using appropriate gestures.
