Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.2.LI.1 - Identify and categorise elements and constitutions of artistic content and forms.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define artistic form and artistic content and distinguish between the two using examples from Ghanaian and international artworks.
- Identify at least five elements of artistic form (line, shape, colour, texture, space, value, form) in a given artwork.
- Identify at least four components of artistic content (subject matter, theme, message, narrative, symbolism) in a given artwork.
- Categorise elements of form and components of content by sorting them into correctly labelled groups on a classification chart or mind map.
- Present and defend their categorisation of an artwork’s form and content before the class, responding to peer comments and questions.
