Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.5.1.LI.6 - Describe the various methods of house wiring
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Describe at least three methods of house wiring (surface, conduit, and trunking) and identify each method from diagrams or real installations.
- Compare and contrast surface wiring, conduit wiring, and trunking wiring using at least four criteria such as cost, appearance, protection, and ease of installation.
- Outline at least two advantages and two disadvantages of each wiring method in a group discussion or written task.
- Recommend a suitable wiring method for a given scenario (e.g., a classroom, a kitchen, a workshop, or a residential house) and justify the choice with sound reasoning.
- Present findings from group research on wiring methods to the class, using oral or simple digital presentation tools.
