Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.5.1.LI.1 - Explain house wiring and provide reasons for doing good wiring.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the term “house wiring” in their own words, identifying the key components involved in a domestic electrical installation.
- Outline at least four importance of house wiring in a domestic setting.
- Provide at least five reasons why good wiring is essential for safety, functionality and cost-effectiveness.
- Describe at least three consequences of improper wiring, using real-life examples.
- Justify, in a short written or oral argument, why a homeowner should invest in quality wiring rather than cut corners, using evidence from the lesson discussion.
