Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.3 - Identify the Professionals involved in building construction project
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least eight different professionals involved in a building construction project and state their professional titles.
- Distinguish between stakeholders and professionals in a construction project, giving at least two examples of each.
- Explain the specific area of expertise or responsibility of each identified professional.
- Match each professional to the phase of the project (design, planning, or execution) where their input is most critical.
- Work collaboratively in mixed-ability groups to produce a complete list of construction professionals and justify why each one is necessary on a typical project.

This method is to ensure effective participation and learning by different categories of learners including Approaching Proficiency, the Proficient and the Highly Proficient. - Through Mixed-Ability grouping ask learners to explain the Professionals involved in building Construction Projects. Assessment (1.2.1.AS.3). The document marks these depth-of-knowledge levels for this indicator: Level 2 Skills of conceptual understanding; Level 3 Strategic reasoning. Teaching and Learning Materials: - Surfing on the Internet Learners will find; - the difference between Stakeholders and Professionals involved in construction projects and roles played by Stakeholders and Professionals in the procurement of construction projects. - Surfing on the Internet to find the reasons for mobilisation for different projects at different sites. - The use of simulation (virtual) to illustrate Site preparations and Hoarding of Site. - The use of Flip Charts with Site Lay-Out Plans to indicate the locations of the temporal structures, Equipment Services and Welfare Facilities.
