Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.4.3.LI.1 - Explain the concept of International trade.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define international trade in their own words and distinguish it from domestic trade based on the scope of transactions.
- Identify at least five countries that Ghana trades with and state one major product Ghana exports to or imports from each.
- Explain at least three reasons why countries, including Ghana, engage in international trade.
- Describe the main forms of international trade (export, import, and entrepot trade) with Ghanaian examples.
- Discuss the benefits and challenges of international trade to the Ghanaian economy using evidence from the environment.

Project-Based Learning: Divide students into mixed ability and gender groups and task them to identify the countries that Ghana trade with and discuss how trading is done between Ghana and those identified countries with the support of search engines and the Internet.
