Indicator: 1.2.2.LI.2 - State the law of supply

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • State the law of supply accurately in their own words.
  • Explain how the law of supply is derived from the behaviour of sellers in a market.
  • Distinguish between a movement along the supply curve and a shift of the supply curve.
  • Use data collected from local sellers to demonstrate the positive relationship between price and quantity supplied.
  • Justify why the supply curve slopes upward from left to right using real market observations.
