Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.3 - Justify Division of Labour and Specialization in production.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the meaning of division of labour and specialisation in production with reference to both simple and complex examples.
- Justify at least four advantages of division of labour and specialisation to firms, workers, and the economy.
- Identify at least three limitations or disadvantages of division of labour and specialisation.
- Evaluate a production scenario and determine whether division of labour and specialisation would improve efficiency, giving reasons for their position.
- Apply the principles of division of labour through a group project, demonstrating how shared responsibilities lead to higher output and quality.
