Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.3.1.LI.3 - Develop a marketing plan to pitch the designed device to potential investors.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the key components of a marketing plan for a medical diagnostic device, including target market, value proposition, pricing, and distribution.
- Develop a simple marketing plan for their designed or assigned diagnostic device, identifying at least three distinct customer segments and appropriate pricing strategies.
- Create a persuasive elevator pitch (2 to 3 minutes) that clearly communicates the device’s benefits, market need, and financial viability to potential investors.
- Analyse and provide constructive feedback on peer marketing plans using a simple rubric covering clarity, market understanding, and financial realism.
- Justify their marketing decisions by referencing current Ghanaian healthcare market conditions and local procurement practices.
