Talk-for-Learning: Learners in mixed groups identify and list commonly used pigs or fish products in their homes and food joints.
Exploratory Learning:
- Learners, in mixed groups (of 10), visit the community market (cold stores), with a checklist to ask for types of poultry and poultry products people patronise most. One group of learners visits a recognised fish farm to identify types of day-old chicks. Another group visits a recognised pig farm to identify types of feed, drinkers, waterers, and vaccines used.
- Learners in the same groups visit a pigs or fish farm, or watch a video of a pig or fish farm, and record activities of the farm on the sale of produce and products.
