By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Distinguish between bacterial and viral reproductive tract infections based on their causative agents, symptoms, and treatment approaches.
- Identify at least four common reproductive system infections, classifying each as bacterial or viral, and state their characteristic symptoms.
- Describe the prevalence of reproductive system infections in Ghana and globally, using data or examples to support their explanation.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Collaborative Learning: With the aid of charts and resources, identify the commonalities between bacterial infections in terms of their symptoms and treatment. Share experiences on symptoms, prevalence and treatment of viral infections in groups. Digital Learning: Research and develop PowerPoint presentations on the social and global impact of infectious diseases (e.g., COVID) for class presentations and feedback. Project-Based Learning: Learners design and produce a public health campaign to educate peers about the dangers and prevention of infectious diseases on posters. Teaching and Learning Resources: - Videos - Stained slides - Pictures - Charts - Projector Assessment (2.2.2.AS.4). The document marks these depth-of-knowledge levels for this indicator: Level 1 Recall; Level 2 Skills of conceptual understanding; Level 3 Strategic reasoning; Level 4 Extended critical thinking and reasoning.
