Indicator: 2.2.2.LI.3 - Outline various distribution outlets and ways of marketing small and large ruminant produce and products.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • List at least five distribution outlets for small and large ruminant produce and products in their community.
  • Explain at least four different ways of marketing ruminant produce and products, including digital and traditional methods.
  • Differentiate between live animal retail and processed product marketing channels.
  • Describe the steps involved in processing and packaging ruminant products for festive seasons and special events.
  • Demonstrate communication and collaboration skills by working in mixed-ability pairs to brainstorm marketing ideas.

Examples of outlets are live animal retailers, eateries, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, event organisers.
