Indicator: 2.3.5.LI.1 - Examine the concepts and principles of coaching and officiating of track events / marathon.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define the key concepts of coaching and officiating in track events and marathon.
  2. Explain at least four principles of effective coaching for track events and marathon.
  3. Describe the roles and responsibilities of officials in track events and marathon.
  4. Distinguish between the duties of a coach and the duties of an official in a track event.
  5. Justify, through group presentation, why certain principles of coaching and officiating are essential for successful track event management.
