Indicator: 2.1.3.LI.1 - Explain the various mental health conditions
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define mental health and mental health conditions in their own words, distinguishing between normal emotional fluctuations and diagnosable conditions.
- Identify and explain at least five common mental health conditions, including their key signs and symptoms.
- Use ICT devices to search for accurate information about mental health conditions and present their findings to the class.
- Distinguish between different mental health conditions by matching symptoms to the correct condition in a given scenario.
- Demonstrate respect and empathy when discussing mental health conditions, avoiding stigmatising language and stereotypes.
