Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.2.LI.2 - Apply the training principles for sports performance
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Apply the principles of specificity, overload, and progression to design a simple training session for a chosen sport.
- Demonstrate correct application of the FITT formula (Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type) when planning a weekly training schedule.
- Lead a short training activity for peers, using at least two training principles, and explain the reasoning behind the choices made.
- Observe a peer-led training session and provide constructive feedback linked specifically to the training principles.
- Evaluate a training plan and identify which principles are correctly applied and which are missing or misapplied.
