Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.2 - Discuss the importance of physical activity for healthy living
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least four reasons why regular physical activity is important for healthy living, using examples from their own lives.
- Explain how physical activity contributes to physical, mental, and social well-being, giving one example for each.
- Discuss the risks of physical inactivity (a sedentary lifestyle) and relate them to common health problems in Ghana.
- Evaluate a simple case study and identify which health outcomes could be improved through increased physical activity.
- Work collaboratively in groups to present points on the importance of physical activity, using gender-neutral language and respecting diverse views.
