Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.4.3.LI.1 - Perform parts of selected poems
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and explain the key performance elements (intonation, rhythm, gesture, facial expression) required to perform a poem effectively.
- Memorise and recite a selected part of a poem with appropriate intonation and rhythm.
- Transform a section of a poem into a short role play, acting out the characters and events with expressive body language.
- Work collaboratively in groups to rehearse and present a poetic performance to the class.
- Give and receive constructive feedback on performances, using specific language about voice and movement.
