Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.3.LI.2 - Perform skits of chosen scenes from a variety of plays.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Select a scene from a play (comedy or drama) that is suitable for group performance, justifying their choice in one or two sentences.
  2. Apply at least three performance skills (voice projection, facial expression, gesture, and movement) when rehearsing their chosen scene.
  3. Rehearse a scene in a group, showing cooperation and respect for the ideas of other group members.
  4. Perform a rehearsed skit before the class with clear dialogue delivery and appropriate stage movement.
  5. Offer constructive feedback on another group’s performance, identifying one strength and one area for improvement.

- Learners rehearse in their groups and perform. Using the internet will develop skills in ICT. Leadership, personal development and communication as they rehearse and perform.

- Groups perform for the rest of the class to critique and offer creative innovations to fine tune their work.
