By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain at least three reasons why ethical behaviour is important in engineering practice.
- Describe the consequences of unethical behaviour for engineers, clients, and the public, using specific examples.
- Discuss how ethical engineering practice protects public safety and builds public trust.
- Justify, in a moderated class discussion, why professional reputation and economic success depend on ethical conduct.
- Critique ethical and unethical behaviours identified in video clips and real-life engineering scenarios.
