Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.2.LI.2 - Discuss the measures aimed at mitigating the negative effects of globalization on Ghana’s development.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least four negative effects of globalization on Ghana’s development that require mitigation.
  2. Explain at least six measures Ghana can adopt to mitigate the negative effects of globalization, with particular focus on patriotism, honesty, and commitment.
  3. Analyse how patriotism, honesty, and commitment serve as foundational values for resisting the harmful effects of globalization.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of specific mitigation measures in safeguarding Ghana’s economic, cultural, and political development.
  5. Work collaboratively in mixed-ability and gender groups to research and present mitigation strategies, demonstrating respect for diverse viewpoints.
