Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.3.2.LI.1 - Assess the effects of globalisation on the development of the Ghanaian economy.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define globalisation and explain at least three channels through which it affects national economies.
- Categorise the effects of globalisation on Ghana’s economy into political, economic, and social effects.
- Assess both the positive and negative effects of globalisation on specific sectors of the Ghanaian economy, such as agriculture, trade, telecommunications, and banking.
- Justify, with evidence, whether the overall impact of globalisation on Ghana’s development has been more beneficial or more harmful.
- Work collaboratively in mixed ability groups, demonstrating respect for divergent views, while evaluating the effects of globalisation.
