Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.4 - Explain the meaning, types, and structure of the legislature.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Define the legislature and explain its role as one of the three organs of government.
Identify and describe at least three types of legislatures, giving examples of countries or systems that use each type.
Describe the structure of Ghana’s Parliament, including its leadership positions and membership composition.
Explain the functions of the Parliament of Ghana, using specific provisions from the 1992 Constitution where relevant.
Discuss reasons for the underrepresentation of women in Ghana’s legislature and propose ways to improve gender balance in Parliament.
