Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.1.1.LI.1
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- define advanced materials and state at least four categories (semiconductors, biomaterials, smart materials, nanomaterials) with accurate descriptions.
- explain why advanced materials are important to the manufacturing industry, giving at least two reasons for each category.
- identify at least three everyday devices or products in their community that rely on advanced materials and state which category each belongs to.
- discuss, in small groups, the economic and social benefits of advanced materials to Ghana’s manufacturing sector.
