Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.3.LI.2 - Discuss the Types of Websites and Digital Media on the Web (Graphics, Audio, Videos, Plug-ins)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and classify at least four different types of websites (informational, ecommerce, social networking, and multimedia-based) and give a Ghanaian example of each.
  2. Explain the roles of graphics, audio files, videos, and plug-ins in enhancing online communication and user engagement.
  3. Evaluate a given website and determine its type, purpose, and the digital media elements it uses.
  4. Select appropriate digital media elements to improve the clarity and impact of a communication material (such as a school announcement or a small business post).
