Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.2.LI.1 - Analyse and Discuss the Affordances and Impact of Digital Tools in Various Domains.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least five emerging digital tools and state the specific domain (education, healthcare, manufacturing, government, finance, entertainment, transport, or business) in which each is currently applied in Ghana.
  2. Explain at least two affordances (benefits or capabilities) and two limitations of a given digital tool in a real-world context, using concrete examples.
  3. Analyse how digital tools change productivity, collaboration, and data analysis in a selected domain, comparing the situation “before” and “after” the introduction of the tool.
  4. Discuss at least two ethical considerations or societal impacts arising from the use of emerging technologies in Ghanaian society, such as privacy, job displacement, or misinformation.
  5. Present a reasoned position, orally or in writing, on whether the benefits of a chosen digital tool outweigh its limitations in a specific Ghanaian setting, supported by evidence gathered during class discussion.
