Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.1.LI.5 - Explain how extra solar objects such as Comets, Asteroids and Constellations affect our culture and society.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Distinguish between comets, asteroids, meteors, meteorites and constellations by stating at least two defining characteristics of each.
Explain the physical origin and motion of comets and asteroids, building on the gravitational concepts studied in Weeks 3 and 4.
Identify at least three Ghanaian cultural practices, beliefs, or societal activities connected to comets, asteroids, or constellations.
Evaluate how modern scientific understanding of these objects interacts with traditional beliefs, using clear reasoning.
Present findings from group research on a chosen extra solar object using digital tools or visual aids.
