Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.1.4.LI.3 - Identify daily applications of Newton’s laws of motion.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least one daily activity or situation that demonstrates each of Newton’s three laws of motion.
- Classify given daily activities into the correct law of motion (first, second, or third law) with justification.
- Explain, in their own words, how a selected daily activity illustrates the relevant law of motion.
- Work collaboratively in mixed-ability groups to sort and present examples of Newton’s laws from their own experience.
- Use digital resources, such as videos or simulations, to verify and extend their understanding of Newton’s laws in daily life.

Experiential Learning: Let learners watch a video showing various applications of Newton's laws of motion. Put learners in mixed-ability groups for them to classify some activities in daily life into the three laws. Foster collaborations that broaden students' exposure to diverse physics-related career paths and role models. Assessment (1.1.4.AS.3). The document marks no depth-of-knowledge level for this indicator. Teaching and Learning Resources: - Audio-visuals - PhET interactive simulations - Trolley - tennis ball - soccer ball
