Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.1.4.LI.1 - Identify various traditional games and discuss their origins and importance.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define traditional games and state at least three characteristics that distinguish them from modern sports.
- Identify and name at least eight traditional games played in different regions of Ghana.
- Describe the origins of at least four traditional games from their own region or community.
- Explain the cultural significance and health benefits of traditional games to individuals and society.
- Discuss the role of traditional games in promoting unity, inclusivity and social cohesion within Ghanaian communities.
